The Widow Support Program is one of No Limits Charity’s core initiatives aimed at restoring dignity, hope, and economic independence to widows in underserved communities. Recognizing the struggles many widows face, such as poverty, social exclusion, and lack of opportunity—we have designed this program to meet both their immediate and long-term needs.
Through this initiative, we provide emotional support, essential supplies, and vocational training that empowers widows to rebuild their lives and become self-sufficient.
Program Objectives:
- Emotional and Social Support: Helping widows navigate grief and isolation through community gatherings, counseling, and empowerment events.
- Economic Empowerment: Training in income-generating skills such as tailoring, soap making, hairdressing, and small-scale trading.
- Resource Assistance: Distribution of food items, clothing, household essentials, and financial support during crises.
- Community Reintegration: Supporting widows to take on leadership roles and participate actively in community development.
Impact Areas:
- James Town and surrounding coastal communities
- Rural outreach in places such as Ada and Asikuma
- Periodic support events aligned with national celebrations or annual campaigns
Our commitment is to ensure that no widow feels forgotten or left behind. By equipping them with skills and a support system, we help them reclaim their place in society with confidence and purpose.
